Our Design Process
01 | Predesign
Your project begins with a Predesign Consultation. We will meet to discuss your project and learn about your goals and needs. We will then determine the scope of work for your project and provide you with a Design Services Proposal, which will outline the design work to be completed and the associated fees with your project. Design fees are based on the complexity of your project, as determined by the scope of work.
02 | Concept Design
Following Predesign, we will develop 2-3 concept designs based on the Design Services Proposal and review with you during a Concept Selection Meeting. At the conclusion of this meeting, you will select a concept for Design Development.
03 | Design Development
During Design Development, we will create preliminary floor plans and elevation drawings, develop the lighting concept, and select fixtures, fittings, and finishes. We will source material samples so you can see, touch, and feel all of the details that will bring your project to life.
04 | Design Specification
In the Design Specification phase, we will generate all of the detailed drawings necessary for your contractor / builder to complete the work, including detailed floor plans, elevation drawings, electrical & lighting plans, and fixture, fitting, and finish schedules. If necessary, we will consult with your contractor for structural, HVAC, and code requirements.
05 | Construction Observation
We regularly monitor the construction site and communicate with the contractor and tradespeople to ensure the design is progressing as envisioned. We will be on hand to answer questions from you and your contractor / tradespeople and resolve issues as they arise.
06 | Installation & Project Completion
Our team will schedule the furniture, finishes, and accessories installation to complete your project. We will style your space so that it is ready for you and your family to enjoy. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for: it’s your space, a reflection of you, ready for all of your loved ones, memories, and celebrations for years to come!
